It's better to have no services on your website than a whole bunch of services that you no longer provide. It's confusing for people. A confused mind does not buy. straight up. If they're confused, they're gonna be like, I don't know what this is, I'm out.

Jeanette Peterson 0:32

you're listening to the unapologetically unstoppable podcast, it's about going deep into who you were made to be. And following that, no matter what. Where your calling is in the front seat, and fear well, is trying to stop you. But fuck that guy, and getting the tools and tips to become unstoppable, I'm your host, Jeanette Peterson, where not too long ago, I had to find my calling here, you'll hear from me and other online experts on how to discover your calling, the steps to make it happen, and how to monetize it. I believe when we're unapologetic about our calling, we become an unstoppable expansive force. So let's get started.

Jeanette Peterson 1:39

What does your website say to other people? I think sometimes we think that it has to be the most comprehensive, powerful thing that we can put out there. And that's actually not true. We need to update your website, because we're offering two services now. We're now offering coaching, and we're offering a 40 hour funnel, Holla at your girl, if you need to know more about that. But that's what we're offering. That's it. We're not doing anything else. We used to do launches. We're pivoting from that. It's something we no longer want to do. It doesn't fill our company more. It's more stress than it's worth for us. So we don't do that anymore.

Jeanette Peterson 2:19

Your website literally needs to have one thing on it. Who you are to prove that your actual website? And that's it. Who whose website is this? What do you do? Okay, there's lots of things that you should have on your website. But at a minimum, you don't have to have all this stuff on there. Our website is not up to date. And can we get clients without a website? Yes, we did. We get clients without a website. Hello, we got clients without a website, when we first started, sure did. You don't have to have a website to get money. That's not a thing. You don't have a website that is perfect. Nobody's perfect. Everybody's always changing. If you ever talk to a business owner, that's something they're always fiddling with fuddling with messing with, because it can always be updated. You're always changing what you're doing. And to be honest with you less is more.

Jeanette Peterson 3:15

Nobody's going to ask questions about things on your website. If they don't exist, there is no questions to be asked. So if you're in the middle of changing something, it's better to have no services on your website, then a whole bunch of services that you no longer provide. That's confusing for people. A confused mind does not buy straight up. If they're confused. They're going to be like, I don't know what this is. I'm out. Especially if they've got ADHD like me. As soon as you confuse me, I'm out. I feel like I'm a highly intelligent person. So if I get confused, I feel offended. It's a personal thing. I don't know about everybody, but I feel offended. And I'm like, nope, eff this. I'm out. It's absurd. It's too complicated for me. It's happened to me today. I was trying to sign my child up for this princess party that's happening on the weekend and couldn't sign her up because she wasn't to yet. Even though she was a veteran, too, and she will be too by the time that event happened. I couldn't sign her up. So I sent them my older daughter. So I was like on the website. So confused. I was like, Why is this so complicated? This is a stupid website, and I'm smart person, this should not be an issue. So if I'm going to buy something expecially from a service provider that's providing me a great service that has that spending more than $1,000 With I want to I want this to be super easy. Okay, this website I was on earlier, it was only a $10 product. So I can fiddle around for $10 or just show up the day of and be like, here's my 10 bucks. Let my kid be apprentice and I don't think it's going to be a problem. But that's to say, if you're a service provider, make it easy for people to pay you just make it easy.

Jeanette Peterson 4:59

The heart For somebody to pay you, the less likely they will be to pay you. So, so on your website, we use a process in our website called Building a story brand. If you don't have the book, the link is in the bio, or whatever this is called. Get the book, okay, get the book, the book might be kind of confusing for people who don't know about it. But you need to get the book you need to read it, you need to digest it, because it tells you step by step, how to make a website that people can easily pay you with. tell people exactly what you do, and who it's for on the front page and have a buy button. That doesn't have to be your call to action. It doesn't have to be overly ridiculous, it's booked now. That's one CTA call to action. It could be schedule your consultation here, it could be download this freebie it could be whatever that call to action is whatever you want them to do. Tell them how to do it and tell them how easy it is. This is literally not rocket science. Like I just want people to have good websites. So that way people can buy things and go about their life. I love the internet, and I love buying things on the internet, especially services from people I actually enjoy. I think I think I might actually like that more than I like Amazon. And that's, that's a pretty,

Jeanette Peterson 6:28

to go to. It's like a frickin:

Jeanette Peterson 7:26

What is that next step you want them to take? Because that's the first part of your funnel is your website. People will meet you on I don't know, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, wherever you hang out. And then they'll go to your website. That's the first thing they come on. You know, like everybody's talking, everybody's a little bit on the internet. They go straight to your website, then they judge you. Straight up, they judge you everybody does it don't even act like you don't you judge them. And you're judging me because you've probably gone to my website. And it's it's all right. It's not bad, but it's not perfect. You know what I like it. I like it the way it is. It says enough stuff. But it doesn't make you confused. It tells you exactly how to work with us. Fact I'm go there right now. Click, click, click, click click Peterson and belt calm. It says oh, this is what do you do? The three things that we do right up front clarity, strategy and marketing. Boom, we partner with female entrepreneurs so they can sustain 100k through clarity strategy and tailor made marketing plan. Ooh, that sounds good. I know exactly what they're doing. I don't have to question. Well, it's me, right? I don't have to question what they're doing. And have to be like, so who do you help? What do you do? How do you do it? It's all in that first minute. And there's already like to work with us buttons. Okay, work with us in black and work with us and pink. Okay, you want me to work with you? Okay, marketing analysis. Let's go. That's the first thing that pops up is a marketing analysis. So that's how you work with us. We should change that because we should I think we changed it before you guys listen to this podcast, haha. But it does what it says on there. It says what we do clarity, strategy, marketing. And then it says who we are. How to find us. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn. Cool. That's our front page.

Jeanette Peterson 9:27

But people really honestly just want to know what do you do? How do you do that? Is this for me? Are you talking to me? And where do I go next? Show them the map show them the map of how to work with you. So that way you can get paid girl let's get us all get I believe in the abundance theory that there's so much money to go around that we can all get some meat and some has nothing to do with the amount of money you get and let's all get some. So your website needs to say those things. What do, who you do it with, and how you do it. So they know that when you're on their website that you're talking to them. So if a guy truck driver came to my website, he would know that this is not his space. But if it's like we partner with female entrepreneurs, but oh, that's me. I'm a female entrepreneur, so they can sustain 100k Ooh, I want to sustain 100k I'm almost there. I can get there. What are they doing? Clarity, strategy and marketing? Ooh, clarity. Let's do that. I didn't clear up what I'm trying to do strategy. I don't know how to do it. But let's go marketing. Yes, I need people to know that I'm out there. And I want them to find me and love me. That's it. And honestly, if we just had this first part up or just has like, what we do work with us, that would be enough. That would be enough for right now. It doesn't need to have I don't need to scroll. I don't need anything else. It has one button that says work with us. And that's it. And that could just be like or join our Facebook group, or schedule a call or

Jeanette Peterson:

download this freebie or check out our new masterclass or literally anything. But that's really all you need to have. So stop pedaling around with a website. Get it good enough to get paid. That's all you need to do get a good enough to get paid. And then once you start getting paid, hire professional to fix it, or read building a story brand. Do it. Alright girl i'll holla at ya later.
